I'm a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) who has practiced and studied yoga since 2002. I am driven to teach yoga because I hope to be able to give others the tools that yoga has given me to live a more joyful, fulfilling life enjoying rich relationships. I embody a casual approach to teaching that asks students to be attentive, vigilant, and conscious in their asana practice and their lives. Expect my Devotional Flow classes to often include yoga philosophy and always be rooted in intelligent sequencing that emphasizes alignment principles. My private lessons are practical and are aimed at equipping students to be their own teachers. I also like to laugh, a lot.
I received my 200-hour certification from Laughing Lotus Yoga Center and my 500-hour certification from Yogamaya, both in New York City. Between my trainings and since my certifications, I continue my studies with teachers like Christina Sell, Carrie Owerko, Gioconda Parker, Stacey Brass, Bryn Chrisman, Manorama, Professor Edwin Bryant, and Patricia Walden. I am thankful for all of my teachers on this path, including Keith Borden, Ali Kramer, Gaura Vani Buchwald, HH Radhanath Swami, HH Dhanurdhara Swami, Kaustubha Das, Jai Uttal, and all of my students and friends and family.
In addition to my 200-hour and 500-hour trainings, I continue to pursue education and grow so that I may serve my students. Additional trainings I have completed include:

CITIZEN OF THE WORLD
When I'm not practicing asana, I'm living the principles of yoga through my relationships with other beings, cooking healthy, mindful, and delicious meals, baking sometimes not-so-healthy but definitely delicious treats, reading voraciously, dabbling in writing, and playing with home design. Like most everyone else, I love to travel and see how other folks live. I'm grateful for all of these things but mostly for the people in my life who treat me always with kindness and respect and make me laugh.
